What: This semester, we would like to offer a series of “working” meetings in which literacy leaders from across the region can learn from one another. These meetings will be designed to tackle solutions aimed at scaling your literacy achievement and supporting all stakeholders. These one hour meetings will be held over Zoom, and the initial meetings dates are set, but follow ups will be scheduled based on participant availability. These sessions are not like traditional PD, where you sit back and get information. Participants will get to roll up their sleeves and engage in the work, and that work will be made lighter by the help of a network of support.
In this 2-part series, teacher leaders, building administrators and literacy leaders will identify best practices for summer reading programs and begin to draft an action plan for Summer 2024. We will listen to one another share experiences and ideas for summer reading, learning from the past as we plan for the future.
