Biographical Information:
Daniel L. Wilson serves as the Director of Business Development for the Educational Service Center of the Western Reserve, bringing over 49 years of experience in fiscal management within Ohio's public school systems. Previously, he served as the Chief Financial Officer at Mentor Exempted Village School District, where he played an instrumental role in overseeing financial operations. Daniel’s prior roles include:
- Associate Superintendent – Center for School Finance and Accountability, Ohio Department of Education
- Treasurer – Parma City Schools, Shaker Heights City Schools, Canton City Schools, Stark County Board of Education, South-Western City Board of Education, Woodridge Local Schools
- Search Consultant for K-12 Public School Leaders
Daniel holds a Bachelor's in Business Administration/Finance from the University of Akron. This strong foundation in finance and business has underpinned his extensive career in fiscal management.
Currently, Daniel oversees business development initiatives at the ESC of the Western Reserve, contributing to policies and programs that enhance educational outcomes. He also serves on several regional and state-level boards, where he leverages his expertise to influence educational finance and policy. Throughout his career, Daniel has focused on fiscal management, school finance, and leadership, fostering collaboration in education.
