Who: Teachers Teaching Virtually or Face-to-Face

What:  How can teachers and students find the appropriate time and place for practicing inquiry during synchronous and asynchronous virtual teaching and learning? How can inquiry offer project based learning for any subject? How can various levels of inquiry enhance student engagement and emotional support while teaching virtually or even face-to-face?  How might this method of teaching and learning improve understanding for various abilities? What are the challenges? What are the advantages?

Participants will explore these questions and connect to virtual resources and tools designed to practice various levels of inquiry.  Tools can be used for a few minutes to engage students during a virtual meeting, or to explore inquiry through project based learning tools and for nearly any content.  Even Math!.

Examples of middle school inquiry implementation will be offered, while participants of the session can realize how to make it applicable to other grades. Using essential questions to enhance student understanding while practicing inquiry will also be explored.
