Meghan KanagaRaj is a Special Education Supervisor and Behavior Specialist for the Lake County Educational Service Center. She oversees special education services, implementation of behavior modification strategies and plans, and effective instruction using best practice for specialized programs throughout Lake County.
Ms. KanagaRaj joined the Lake County Educational Service Center in 2016. She spent the beginning of her career in education working with students with autism, ages 2-22, using techniques of Applied Behavior Analysis as a classroom behavior therapist at The Lerner School for Autism at The Cleveland Clinic. She continued working in special education as an intervention specialist for the STARS program of the Geauga County Educational Service Center for eight years. Using a multi-methodological approach to special education, Ms. KanagaRaj built experience in writing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating behavior modification plans; training paraprofessionals in direct instruction, data collection and analysis, and discrete trial; and designing daily curriculums using modifications and accommodations to meet the needs and potential of an extensive range of diverse learners. Ms. KanagaRaj also was a member of the County PBIS team and helped to plan and implement District-level PBIS programming.
Meghan KanagaRaj is a licensed preK-12 mild to intensive Intervention Specialist, and a licensed preK-12 Administrator. She received Bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Psychology from John Carroll University. She holds Master’s degrees in Curriculum and Instruction from Cleveland State University and in Educational Administration from Ursuline College.
