Julie O’Neil is the Director of Special Education for the Lake County Educational Service Center. She oversees student programming as well as developing new programs as needs in the county develop.
Ashtabula County Educational Service Center was Julie’s first employer where she worked as a School Age Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the Jefferson Local Schools and a Preschool SLP for the county for five years. Julie then worked in Kenston Local Schools as a middle school and high school SLP for three years. Next, Julie served as the district SLP for Perry Local Schools for four years. She then transitioned to Supervisor of Special Education for one year and then to Director of Student Services for four years before coming to the LCESC in 2010.
Julie is a Speech-Language Pathologist. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Speech and Hearing Science from The Ohio State University and her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Cleveland State University. In addition, Julie obtained a Pupil Services Administration License and a Superintendent’s License from Cleveland State University.
